Central Asian Scriptwriting Lab (CASL) – Call for Local Trainers

UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty opens call for local trainers for the Central Asian Scriptwriting Lab (CASL), which will be organized in the framework of the "Strengthening of the Film Industry in Central Asia" project implemented with the support of the Korean Funds-in-Trust (KFIT)./p>

Description

Each local trainer shall:
• Participate in the selection of 20 trainees for the CASL project and finalization of the CASL schedule together with other local trainers and an international trainer (April 2021);
• Conduct 2 lectures to share their knowledge and technical tips about scriptwriting and other information agreed upon with the international trainer (May – October 2021).
All activities within the framework of the CASL project will take place in the Russian language. Due to the quarantine and restriction measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, all activities of the CASL project will take place in the online format.

Selection Criteria
In total 4 local trainers will be selected on the basis of motivation letter, CV and fee proposal.
All documents shall be prepared in the Russian language.
Applying candidates must:
• Have minimum 5 years of academic and/or professional experience in the cinema industry;
• Represent one of the following Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The final selection of the local trainers will respect the equal participation of the four above-mentioned countries and gender balance.
