The multi-stakeholder advisory board meets to discuss the first draft on media development in Kazakhstan

On 18 July 2022, UNESCO Almaty and the Kazakh Media Development Foundation - Media Damitu kory (MDQ) will organise the second meeting of the Multistakeholder Advisory Board (MAB) on Media Development Indicators in Kazakhstan.

The meeting of the Multistakeholder Advisory Board (MAB) is organized to launch Media Development Indicators (MDI) assessment process. Identification of a list of experts from different stakeholders, including gender balance in participation. The MAB should include leading female and male experts from a variety of stakeholders, including government, academia, the technical community, the private sector, journalists, media organizations, civil society, UN agencies, and intergovernmental groups engaged.

From 13 April to 18 May 2022, two trainings are organised for researchers of the national evaluation of the MDIs. The research team assumes responsibility for regular consultations with the MAB to ensure the quality of the research. Launching of the Media Development Indicators in Kazakhstan took place in May 2022.
