Online art course #ArtConnects will be extended until 11 May

Due to the extension of the emergency state because of COVID-19 crisis in Central Asia until 11 May, the #ArtConnects creative online course for children and adolescents will be extended.

With the support of the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs and young artists of Kazakhstan, we continue our online art therapy course with a new schedule of master-classes.

Today, 20 families from different countries of Central Asia participate in the course. Every day, children and their parents get acquainted with a new techniques in the visual and applied arts, become a little closer to the theater and choreography.

From 23 April to 1 May, art-masters from various creative fields conducted 38 master-classes for children and adolescents, thereby helping their parents during the period of compulsory social and physical isolation.

From 4 May to 11 May, an additional 14 master-classes are planned to be organized in order to improve the emotional state of children, in particular children with special needs, who need art therapy on the regular basis.

Recall that the #ArtConnects creative course is a part of the UNESCO #ResiliArts global campaign, the main idea of ​​which is to connect everyone with each other during the confinement period through the arts and creativity.
