The UNESCO Director-General congratulates the President and People on the thirtieth anniversary of Kazakhstan's membership in UNESCO.

Director General extended her congratulations to the President, the Government and the people of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the thirtieth anniversary of Kazakhstan membership in UNESCO. UNESCO also values the unfailing support that Kazakhstan, as the host country of the Cluster Office in Almaty, has accorded to the organization.

Kazakhstan joined UNESCO on 22 May 1992, right after its independence, the country has become an important player in building a true culture of peace through education, science, culture and communication. This year's celebration coincides with thé completion of the UNESCO-led International Décade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022).

For thirty years, UNESCO has stood with Kazakhstan to advance the country's commitment to multilateralism and achieve the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
