The publication presents readers with an overview of policies and initiatives, capacity building projects and activities, the latest research findings and case studies in relation to Central Asia and beyond.
In recent years, countries in Central Asia have seen a surge in digital transformation in their higher education systems and a proliferation of promising practices at both country and sub-regional levels. To take stock of progress, share experiences and challenges and examine means to empower university leaders and teachers in the sub-region with digital skills and competencies, UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office and the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI) jointly released the fifth issue of UNESCO-ICHEI's quarterly information journal CLOUD, focusing on digital transformation of higher education in the sub-region.
By inviting representatives from national governments, UNESCO, academia and the private sector, this joint publication presents readers with an overview of policies and initiatives, capacity building projects and activities, the latest research findings and case studies in relation to Central Asia and beyond.
Highlights from the publication at a glance:
- A special address to CLOUD readers from Ulanbek Mambetakunov, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, sharing his vision for the digital transformation of higher education in Central Asia.
