Webinar on validation of the MediaSDG journalism education and training platform

10 March 2022, the UNESCO Chair on Journalism and Communication of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University started the development of four MOOCs under the IPDC project "Journalism education and training platform" based on the following courses UNESCO/IPDC:

  • Course on the Safety of Journalists
  • Reporting on Climate Change and Sustainable Development
  • Conflict-Sensitive Reporting
  • Reporting on Violence against Women and Girls

The webinar aims to build the capacity of 19 journalism schools on development of MOOCs and skills to work with UNESCO curricula; and to establish and develop partnerships and networks between journalism schools in Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a webinar will present two new massive new online courses developed by UNESCO and the Knight Centre, University of Texas.
