In August 2021, UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty continues a series of online webinars to build the capacity of museum workers in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus.
The webinars are open to staff of all museums in Central Asia and Southern Caucasus, as well as interested representatives of concerned state bodies, research organisations, NGOs and civil society. Webinars are taking place in the online format.
Fighting Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Goods: the International Museum Community’s Engagement & ICOM’s Actions

Speaker: Ms Sophie Delepierre, the Head of Heritage Protection Department at the International Council of Museums (ICOM). She leads operational programs, trainings and awareness raising activities related to the protection of cultural heritage from the museum’s perspective. In particular, she manages the development of ICOM Red Lists as well as the International Observatory on Illicit Traffic in Cultural Goods.

This webinar is organized together with the International Council of Museums (ICOM). The webinar will be held in English and Russian language with simultaneous translation.
