Fourth Asia-Europe Forum on Education “Sustainable Development in Our Society”

IV Asia-Europe Forum on Education "Sustainable Development in Our Society" will be held online on October 29-30, 2021.

The main goal of the Forum is to analyze the interconnection of environmental, social, cultural, and economic development and prosperity, as well as to exchange best practices on the integrative and inclusive role of education in promoting sustainable development in our society. The platform of the Forum is intended to provide an opportunity for representatives from various countries and sectors to research the finest initiatives in the field of education, with a focus on the UN Agenda 2030.

The IV Asian-European Forum on Education "Sustainable Development in Our Society" is anticipated to bring together more than 30 participating countries from the global movement of UNESCO Clubs, representatives of UNESCO Headquarters and National Commissions for UNESCO, as well as interested participants from various international organizations, government agencies, academic institutions, private and non-governmental sectors. The final collection of publications will be presented at the end of the Forum.

The initiative to organize the Forum was proposed by Kazakhstan and Romanian Federations of UNESCO Clubs, and the organizers are the Asia-Pacific and European Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations with the support of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations.

The event celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 75th anniversary of UNESCO, the 40th anniversary of the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the European Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations.

The general partner of the IV Asian-European Forum on Education “Sustainable Development in Our Society” is Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO), which introduces new technologies and operates in accordance with global safety and environmental standards in order to ensure a more sustainable Kazakhstan.

For reference: Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, being part of the World Movement of UNESCO Clubs, which was established in 1947 in Japan, was founded in April of 2009 and exercises large-scale work in promoting the ideals and values of UNESCO through the support and development of the younger generation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Currently, the Republic of Kazakhstan maintains 156 UNESCO Clubs, with over 17,000 individuals represented in all regions of the country.
