On the occasion of the International Teachers' Day, UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office and the National Center for Professional Development "Orleu" in Kazakhstan organized a workshop on developing key competencies for the 21st century in Almaty from 2 to 4 October 2019. The event gathered 20 teacher trainers from the central administrative office and regional offices of "Orleu".
The next step after the training is to develop a training module on education for sustainable development and global citizenship for 36 hours in Kazakh and Russian, which would be used for further capacity building of teachers throughout the country.
