Applications for nominations of the UNESCO International Literacy Prizes 2016

UNESCO International Literacy Prizes have rewarded excellence and innovation in the field of literacy since 1967. Over 470 projects and programmes undertaken by governments, non-governmental organizations and individuals around the world have been awarded these prestigious Prizes, through which UNESCO seeks to support effective literacy practices and encourages the promotion of dynamic literate societies.

Governments of Member States and Non-Governmental Organizations are being invited to participate.

Every year, the Prizes are organized around a specific theme. This year’s focus is on: “Innovation in Literacy”.

The Circular Letter, guidelines and submission form (English and French) are attached for your ease of reference.

The deadline for nominations is Monday 4 July 2016.
